WOW, what ....a.......day...
After getting a whopping 3 hours and 50 minutes of sleep I woke up to start my day and that began with taking dad to the airport, so he could fly out to Denver for father's day. The ride to the airport was mostly quite and I think at one point dad even folded his arms while riding along. He thinks he doesn't tell people about his feelings, but little does he know his eyes can be read like a book. Nevertheless, he took it all quite well, and showed that you can never be too old for adventure or try a new journey, even if it scares you a little. I walked him to the security line and gave him a hug and sent him on his way. I can't say how happy I am, and I'm so glad I was able to do something like that for my family. Spread the love.
Then followed hours upon hours of driving. I still say Jacksonville FL must be a gateway to the center of the eart's heat. It was so hot that my AC was just pumping out mediocre air. I thought maybe something was wrong until I stepped out at a rest stop......SHEW....got back in my car with the air!!! :O) It got much cooler going south and my AC began to pump the icey stuff again.
Driving...driving.....while I still had energy I sang to some songs....more driving....driving....and at this point one might question "what am I doing!?" :O) That is until I started driving through Vero Beach. What a little paradise they have here. You can keep Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach and the like, I'll keep this little secret among us friends.
Costa d' Este is a beeeeeeautiful little hotel and it is as if some sailer craftsman influenced by Miami's culture was the architect. Even the parking lot is a beautifull laid earthen brick. My room is not cosidered "ocean view", but here I am sitting on this bed staring at the ocean, with the balcony window opened listening to the ever so soft ocean breaking mild currents then returning to a glassy smoothness, yet these sounds mixed with a cuban band playing in the background. Somebody pinch me..... :O)

For dinner I just had some little burgers made from seared Cuban style palomilla with plantain chips. OMG!!!! Delicious; I love Cuban food. I will wake up from this, it's a dream, right?

Well, it's about that time. The sun is begining to prepare itself for rest, and it's docile light is begging me, and some seagull wants to show me how well he can fly. I think I will put on some beach clothes and go wander the oceanside like a lost man with nowhere to go until the nightfalls. Then come back and treasure hunt some slumbering peaceful rest.
Oh, and guess what I forgot? A USB cord to download pitcures. I'll see what I can get tomorrow. :O) Until then, God Bless.
